We saw some bat-eared foxes in the Kalahari Desert.
They eat termites, spiders, small mice, scorpions, berries, ants, insect larvae and frogs !
They have lots of teeth. 46 - 50 teeth which is more than most mammals.
Adults have the ability to excavate (dig) their own burrows. They make burrows with all their sets of claws.
The burrows are normally about 1 m below the soil surface with a chamber of about 45 cm high and about 3 m long.
