I'm in a beautiful hotel.

There is a camera at the roof and there's lots of birds and I love the pools because there is two of them. There is a small one for me and a big one for the other guys.

Happy 5th Birthday Phoebe! What an exciting day for you. Will you be dipping some bacon in yoghurt to celebrate? Maybe you could have a bacon and yoghurt cake?!!! Happy 5th Birthday Phoebe. What a big girl you are now !!! How lucky to be turning 5 in Africa. How special!!!
I saw Sopho with his mum and dad on Sunday. He looked bigger than the last time I saw him. Maybe he's turned 5 too !!!

I am sure you will be having a very special birthday. We will have to do something special for you when you come home. Turning five is very important. You will be a school girl just like your sisters and stan. Hes not a girl thou !!

Happy 5th Birthday! We are all celebrating you over here on the Sunshine Coast 'cos Nana and Pop are staying with us at the moment too, only for a few more days tho' - don't worry they'll be back home when you get back to N.Z.!

Happy Birthday Phoebe. I wonder how the girl who has her own pool in the beautiful Cordosa Hotel will celebrate turning 5? I like Eve's idea of a bacon and yoghurt cake, perhaps you could be floating in your own pool while you eat your cake? Hmmm...it is very exciting to think that you will be starting at Clyde Quay School in just a couple of weeks. All the old friends in your class will be so looking forward to seeing you again cause you bring so much joy and fun into wherever you are in the world!

Hi Darling Phoebe!

Here's a wee poem I wrote for your birthday. (My silly laptop broke so I lost it for a little while. Sorry it's late!) Hope you had a jolly good day!

It's called "Party Animals" because you're in Africa :)

Party Animals

A rainbow splashed upon a page
The colours danced and played
Then holding hands, they made a line
And joined a great parade

The colours marched across the page
Then skipped and flipped and flopped
They tumbled and did somersaults
They jumped and bunny-hopped!

Upon the page they painted lines
And shapes and sounds and sights
And out popped all things wonderful
Surprises and delights!

The rainbow made a birthday card
With pictures and with songs
And all the party animals
Joined in and sang along

They chirped and clucked and squeaked and buzzed
They roared and hummed and howled
They whistled and they bellowed
They yelped and barked and yowled

They chuckled and they chortled
They whinnied and they whooped
They hooted and they bleated
And went all loopy-de-looped!

They had such fun they snorted
They grunted and they crowed
They hissed and squawked and warbled
‘Til their laughter over-flowed!

And guess what they were singing
With a baa and caw and coo
It was, “A Very Happy Birthday
From All of Us to You!!”

Lots of special love on turning five years old from Catriona and the Crew - who all want me to pass on their birthday wishes and hope they all come true!
