Last night I went on a Tuk Tuk ride.  We left from our hotel (Hotel Cardoso) and left for the famous Maputo train station which was almost the same as the Wellington train station.

After Dad took a few photos we went to a restaurant and had some dinner and went to a movie festival.  Me and my sister Sarah caught 7 frogs and a lizard.

Then we went to a recording concert (it was being recorded) for a band called 'Transito' and it was great.

A man played bongos, drums, sansa, bottle and a sand snare.  The other man played bongos, flute and saxophone.  The other man played guitar and the other man was just hitting a suit case.  We left and took a taxi home.

Hey Shepherd family, we have had a fantastic time following your adventures! Awesome photographs. It looks like you are having the time of your lives.

So great that you have been able to travel around the okavango, and also get into the Kalahari. Great going. And you saw a pack of wild dogs - that is really special.

We really love the pictures of playing with snakes and other small animals too - looks like great fun.

Cant believe you got so close to a leopard and her cub as well. That was really lucky!

I bet you are having a good time in Mozambique as well, I remember it having some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

Cant wait to see you guys back here and to hear all your stories,

lots of love

the Shanks Family

Hi, thanks for the message. Snakes are really fun to play with. The one we saw was at a very nice lodge. There were lions, carcals, wild cats, elephants and loads of other animals. I have caught more than 30 lizards on this trip. Right now we at a beach with friends we made when we were at the Okavango river. The beach has loads of lizards and so far I have caught 11, including Bub and Potato. I am going to try scuba diving today. Hey Callan, I caught a lizard the size of my arm and I have caught smaller ones and seen some with amazing colours. I have also seen one being eaten by a snake.
