Then on our way to Capetown we crashed into a bird.  He was so young.  But why him and not one of those stupid monkeys that raided our campsite?

By the way I HATE monkeys they’re so ugly.  No offence to those that look like them.

Okay tonight we went on a night tour.  Our first animal was a spotted eagle owl and their skulls are almost the same as pigeon skulls their feathers fluff out their tiny head.   Then we saw some zebra and some kudu and some springbok.  We heard and saw some jackals and then some gemsbok with needle sharp horns.  Michael the guy who took us on the night tour showed us all the other animals like porcupine and duiker and wildebeests and springasses.  Then we saw some hares and some buffalo and then we saw some ostriches sleeping with one eye open.  Then we came back and I got to hold a 3.7 magnum rifle.  It was awesome.

So were driving in Zebra National Park and I’ve seen some pretty cool birds so far a hamerkop and lots more I bet my neighbour Sopho would love it like the dinosaur footprints which appeared 60 million years ago were pretty cool.  Then we visited a cave with a village.  We visited some huts and had some hot dried corn.  It tasted superb but it was a little hot at first.  The caves were dark and smelt a little like a spruce wood.  The Africans have some pretty good architecture.  Then we came home and I went outside and took some photos of shrikes, hummingbirds.  The hummingbirds were streamer tails and they were really cool

Okay this is not a holiday.  I had to do maths and then I got to go outside but there was only one problem Sarah was out there when I would look at a bird she would stalk me to where I was aiming to be and would scare it away by running over to me and saying what are you looking at.  Then my bird would fly away.

Today we went to a town called Soweto.  These towers were for cooling when they used to have a coal power station.  Now they are for bungee jumping.  One has a picture of Nelson Mandela waving.

We met a butcher with a pretty epic axe.  Then we drove to a museum with a boy who got shot at the age of 13.  Then there were pictures of men with guns and angry mobs with signs.  And there were two real guns, a Glock pistol and a submachine gun.

On our way back we saw this man who twisted his body and hands around and around. We gave him some coins.  Then we bought these ice blocks.  We bought one each.  I had a pineapple flavoured one.

Then we ran into a man with his bottles and plastic.  It was his little business of collecting plastic and Dad gave him a bottle and we kept going.  Then we saw lots of Ibises and a man with lots of birds of paradise flowers.

We arrived at the hotel and its awesome the bedrooms have televisions and huge beds so I’m just FINE.  Me and mum also went shopping and saw this stone shop and as you probably know I really love stones.  So it was like a bible to me so I had a little look and I was in a very lucky goldmine.  There was also this other shop which was for relic statues but there were also lots of stones.
