In Africa I met some people.  They were Dutch so we call them the Dutch family.

Their names are; dad - Pieter, mum - Nathalie, and then the three boys, Axel (12), Camile (9) and then Sweder (5)

They are driving around the same countries in Africa, for the same 4 months in the same Landrover Defender, except theirs is green.  It has a sign saying "life is for living".

Hello Sarah
I am enjoying your blogs very much, and this is the first reply I have written to tell you so! Reading your latest; 'The Dutch Family' felt like reading a poem because of the interesting details and similarities about your families you noticed. What an amazing experience you are having - all the people you've met and the adventurous things you have done, I am in awe! I wonder what it is like travelling and living in your landrover? Do you each have a place for your special stuff (I guess you would have to keep your collections of things very small). I love this part of travelling - not needing much stuff, your life becomes very simple and that feels good! Thanks so much for your drawing of a zebra on a hill. It was exciting to get an envelope from Botswana in my letterbox!
It is extremely windy in Wellington today - again. I am going to Nana & Pops to say bye and wish them a happy trip to stay with Emma, Shaka & the boys for a month. If you were in Wellington I would come and pick you up and take you with me and we would probably sing songs all the way to Seatoun!! I miss you and am very excited about seeing you all again in just over a month. I look forward to reading more fabulous photos and blogs in the meantime!
Ardie xx
